What happens if two devices use the same Setup Code?
What happens if two devices use the same Setup Code?
Each Setup Code is intended for one device. If two devices load the same profile, they will share the same configuration, which can cause conflicts (e.g. both printing to the same receipt printer). Create a separate profile for each physical device.
Can I change which printer a POS terminal uses?
Can I change which printer a POS terminal uses?
Yes. Edit the Setup profile for that terminal and update the Receipt Printer field. The change takes effect on the terminal’s next sync or app restart.
What is a KDS and do I need one?
What is a KDS and do I need one?
A Kitchen Display Screen (KDS) shows incoming orders to kitchen staff as they are placed, without printing a paper docket. It is optional — most small restaurants use kitchen printers instead. KDS systems are better suited for high-volume kitchens where paper management is a challenge.
I entered the Setup Code but the device is not loading the configuration — what do I do?
I entered the Setup Code but the device is not loading the configuration — what do I do?
Check that the device is connected to the internet and can reach the DuitPOS server. Verify that the Setup Code you entered matches exactly what is shown in the dashboard (codes are case-sensitive). If the problem persists, try re-entering the code after force-closing and reopening the app.
